Just Me
Some years ago, I found that I have aphantasia - an inability to form/see mental images of objects that are not present when I'm fully conscious. People with this condition are often good at mathematics and sciences for some reason and this is the case for me. I graduated from the University of York in 1990 with a Masters in Electronic Engineering and then went on to become a Chartered Engineer.
I'm also proud of being a Fellow of the RSA (royal society for arts, manufactures and commerce). Fellows are committed to inspiring better ways of thinking, acting and delivering change to create a better future, champion new ideas, drive social change, deliver practical solutions and support the RSA mission.
Underpinning my business successes as well as ventures that were "paid learnng exercises", I am deeply grateful for the foundation and support my family and friends give me. I also have a range of other interests to keep the brain cells busy.
- Technology: I'm often playing with various technologies to better understand where they fit and how I could leverage them in what I do - or that's the excuse I use to just play...
- Gaming: I am enjoying my new Alienware desktop gaming rig. I can't say I'm a great gamer but the early days of gaming with Quake and Counterstrike never left me so I still find dome time to enjoy similar genres of gaming.
- Metaphysics and beyond: the relationship between consciousness, quantum mechanics, the nature of reality and energy fields is an area I find fascinating and I'm enjoying the new contributions that appear regularly in these areas.
